Ezra 4:22

Hebrew	וּזְהִירִ֥ין הֱו֛וֹ שָׁל֖וּ לְמֶעְבַּ֣ד עַל דְּנָ֑ה לְמָה֙ יִשְׂגֵּ֣א חֲבָלָ֔א לְהַנְזָקַ֖ת מַלְכִֽין
ESV	And take care not to be slack in this matter. Why should damage grow to the hurt of the king?“
NIV	Be careful not to neglect this matter. Why let this threat grow, to the detriment of the royal interests?
NLT	Be diligent, and don't neglect this matter, for we must not permit the situation to harm the king's interests.“
LXX	πεφυλαγμένοι ἦτεplugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigεἰμί greek εἰμί is the first person singular verb for “to be” (εἶναι [the infinitive form] = “to be”). It an irregular verb, and, like English, changes significantly between person and tense. For example εἰμί is the word for am and ἦν is the word for was, e.g. ἄνεσιν ποιῆσαιplugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigποιέω Meaning: * To do * To make This verb - to do or make - is used in connection with a large range of activities including creation, covenant formation, obedience, miracles, sin and worship.
