James 3:17

It is a word that is used very frequently in the New Testament, and is often unexpressed and not translated in English. ἄνωθεν σοφία πρῶτον μὲν ἁγνή ἐστιν,plugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigεἰμί greek εἰμί is the first person singular verb for “to be” (εἶναι [the infinitive form] = “to be”). NLT	But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.
