Mark 7:7

Greek	μάτην δὲplugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigδέ greek δέ is a conjunction that can mean “but” or “and” or “also” or “moreover”. It is a word that is used very frequently in the New Testament, and is often unexpressed and not translated in English. σέβονταί με διδάσκοντες διδασκαλίας ἐντάλματα ἀνθρώπων.
ESV	in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.'
NIV	They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.'
NLT	'These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship is a farce, for they teach man-made ideas as commands from God.'
KJV	Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
