Romans 8:12

Greek	Ἄρα οὖν, ἀδελφοί, ὀφειλέται ἐσμέν,plugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigεἰμί greek εἰμί is the first person singular verb for “to be” (εἶναι [the infinitive form] = “to be”). It an irregular verb, and, like English, changes significantly between person and tense. For example εἰμί is the word for am and ἦν is the word for was, e.g. οὐ τῇplugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigὁ greek The definite article σαρκὶ τοῦplugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigὁ greek The definite article κατὰ σάρκα ζῆν·
ESV	So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.
NIV	Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation–but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it.
NLT	Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do.
KJV	Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
