Job 30:26

Hebrew	כִּ֤י ט֣וֹב קִ֭וִּיתִי וַיָּ֣בֹא רָ֑ע וַֽאֲיַחֲלָ֥ה לְ֝א֗וֹר וַיָּ֥בֹא אֹֽפֶל
ESV	But when I hoped for good, evil came, and when I waited for light, darkness came.
NIV	Yet when I hoped for good, evil came; when I looked for light, then came darkness.
NLT	So I looked for good, but evil came instead. I waited for the light, but darkness fell.
LXX	ἐγὼ δὲplugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigδέ greek δέ is a conjunction that can mean “but” or “and” or “also” or “moreover”. It is a word that is used very frequently in the New Testament, and is often unexpressed and not translated in English. ἐπέχων ἀγαθοῖς ἰδοὺ συνήντησάν μοι μᾶλλον ἡμέραι κακῶν
