Job 7:12

Hebrew	הֲֽיָם אָ֭נִי אִם תַּנִּ֑ין כִּֽי תָשִׂ֖ים עָלַ֣י מִשְׁמָֽר
ESV	Am I the sea, or a sea monster, that you set a guard over me?
NIV	Am I the sea, or the monster of the deep, that you put me under guard?
NLT	Am I a sea monster or a dragon that you must place me under guard?
LXX	πότερον θάλασσά εἰμιplugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigεἰμί greek εἰμί is the first person singular verb for “to be” (εἶναι [the infinitive form] = “to be”). It an irregular verb, and, like English, changes significantly between person and tense. For example εἰμί is the word for am and ἦν is the word for was, e.g. ἢ δράκων ὅτι κατέταξας ἐπ ἐμὲ φυλακήν
