5	until I find a place for the LORD, a dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.“

7	“Let us go to his dwelling place; let us worship at his footstool!”
8	Arise, O LORD, and go to your resting place, you and the ark of your might.
9	Let your priests be clothed with righteousness, and let your saints shout for joy.
10	For the sake of your servant David, do not turn away the face of your anointed one.
11	The LORD swore to David a sure oath from which he will not turn back: “One of the sons of your body I will set on your throne.
12	If your sons keep my covenant and my testimonies that I shall teach them, their sons also forever shall sit on your throne.“
13	For the LORD has chosen Zion; he has desired it for his dwelling place:
14	“This is my resting place forever; here I will dwell, for I have desired it.
15	I will abundantly bless her provisions; I will satisfy her poor with bread.
16	Her priests I will clothe with salvation, and her saints will shout for joy.
17	There I will make a horn to sprout for David; I have prepared a lamp for my anointed.
18	His enemies I will clothe with shame, but on him his crown will shine.“

1	O LORD, remember David and all the hardships he endured.
2	He swore an oath to the LORD and made a vow to the Mighty One of Jacob:
3	“I will not enter my house or go to my bed-

17	“Here I will make a horn grow for David and set up a lamp for my anointed one.
18	I will clothe his enemies with shame, but the crown on his head will be resplendent.“

1	LORD, remember David and all that he suffered.
2	He made a solemn promise to the LORD. He vowed to the Mighty One of Israel,
3	“I will not go home; I will not let myself rest.
4	I will not let my eyes sleep nor close my eyelids in slumber
5	until I find a place to build a house for the LORD, a sanctuary for the Mighty One of Israel.“
6	We heard that the Ark was in Ephrathah; then we found it in the distant countryside of Jaar.
7	Let us go to the sanctuary of the LORD; let us worship at the footstool of his throne.
8	Arise, O LORD, and enter your resting place, along with the Ark, the symbol of your power.
9	May your priests be clothed in godliness; may your loyal servants sing for joy.
10	For the sake of your servant David, do not reject the king you have anointed.
11	The LORD swore an oath to David with a promise he will never take back: “I will place one of your descendants on your throne.
12	If your descendants obey the terms of my covenant and the laws that I teach them, then your royal line will continue forever and ever.“
13	For the LORD has chosen Jerusalem; he has desired it for his home.
14	“This is my resting place forever,” he said. “I will live here, for this is the home I desired.
15	I will bless this city and make it prosperous; I will satisfy its poor with food.
16	I will clothe its priests with godliness; its faithful servants will sing for joy.
17	Here I will increase the power of David; my anointed one will be a light for my people.
18	I will clothe his enemies with shame, but he will be a glorious king.“ A song for pilgrims ascending to Jerusalem. A psalm of David.

1	A Song of degrees. LORD, remember David, and all his afflictions:
2	How he sware unto the LORD, and vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob;
3	Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;
4	I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids,
5	Until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.
